Melinda McElheny grew up on a farm in rural Kansas and managed teams within various corporations prior to studying law. She graduated with Honors from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management & Leadership from Friends University.
While at MHSL, she served as a law review Managing Editor and won a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Deals and Disputes. She uses her skills in negotiation and deal-making to help avoid disputes and conflicts before they start.
Melinda is licensed in the state of Kansas and is currently inactive in Iowa. She teaches part-time as an Adjunct Professor in law school courses including trial advocacy, legal methods, bar preparation, evidence, academic tutoring, and employment law. She teaches and develops substantive criminal law courses at the undergraduate level. She also serves as a part-time municipal judge, FINRA Arbitrator, and drug treatment court defense counsel. Clients will find her well-versed in many popular televisions series, what's wrong at CBS News, KC Chiefs injury & contract reports, and in all news TS+TK.
